The good news is that there is a way that we can come back to God. Jesus has made it possible for us to come back to God. We need to realise two important things. Firstly God loves us, secondly Jesus Christ died for us.
You may say, 'Well how do you know that God loves me?' God sent Jesus to die on the cross for you. The Bible puts it this way, "In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him." 1 John 4:9 Jesus spoke to Nicodemus in this way, " For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. " John 3:16
The Bible tells us, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 Many parts of the New Testament speak about Jesus dying on the cross for YOU and me.
No one can look at Jesus' death on the cross and say that no one loves me. God has paid the price for you and me through Jesus dying for us. Ephesians 1:7 " In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace " The innocent blood of Jesus is the price for our freedom. God has paid the price for us to be reunited to Himself. When we come back to God, we find our security and our worth.
